It's worth the ten.
The backgrounds were so beautiful, they must have taken you forever! I loved all of the snow covered trees in the twilight! And, though some people didn't seem to like it, I thought the Swedish narrative added a great deal of weight to it, sort of like hearing a story spoken in Old English does. It makes it more otherworldly and magestic.
I loved the little details you added, like Nim hanging his key outside the door. I lived in the South for a while and it killed me how people never locked their houses or their cars because the idea of people taking your things was just so unthinkable to them. I once met a woman who kept all of her antique "good silver" in an unlocked curio cabinet. I once asked her about it and she said that if someone were to break into her house and steal it, they obviously needed it way more than she did and God bless them. :)
Truly, this flash was so whimsical and playful... I just loved it! A beautiful story. Thanks!

On my Honeymoon night my husband leaned over to me and said that the vows were going to last longer than his lifetime. He promised that if he were to die first that he would be with me every day, keeping me safe, until the day finally came when we could be together again.
This flash reminded me of that and I burst into tears! I swear, I was sobbing into my hands. It was so moving and powerful. Thank you so much for this. I can't believe it was a first submission. Keep up the excellent work.

You know, I was feeling kind of down today and this really cheered me up! Thanks! I really liked that after the bear found a friend he set down the crayon, as if that were all he needed in the world. Pretty great mindset to aspire to. :)

The ideas behind this flash are important to get out there and I am so pleased that you did. I personally am all for capital punishment because I have worked as a rape counsellor and let me tell you, there is no "reforming" these people. They crave people's pain and suffering, just as an average person craves mutually agreed upon sex. Murderers, rapists and molesters need to be brought down immediately like the mad dogs they are.
That being said, I feel the flash was lacking. The art was cartoony and didn't have the rough grittiness that I would have prefered to see based on the subject matter. And the music didn't go with the flow of the storyline (plus it was a bit annoying). I would have chosen probably either Leonard Cohen's "Spoken Word Poem" or "The Future". Give them a listen and see if you don't agree. :)
Still, I am glad you got the message out. Keep it up!

I loved that there was no clear cut plot, just images for you to interpret. I think that makes it all the more powerful. Though, I do have sort of generalized question. Why do men characterize women as angels? Is it wishful thinking or is it we're just that good at hiding the horns? I would just be so tickled to have someone switch it up, that's all.
Truly, a beautiful flash. Thank you!

And the scary thing is that if someone were to actually do something like that, it'd be considered one of the biggest contributions to the art world ever. *siiigh*
Very shocking, thought provoking and just a little creepy.
Though, I am curious. You mentioned in the artist comments that this was originally a project for art class. I would like to know what grade you recieved.
You should be proud of this. Keep it up!

God knows we have all been there sometime or another. The animation was beautifully done and I loved how the starry sky was slowly eatten by the black clouds; very symbolic of the heartbreak feeling. Wonderful! Please make more!

I just adored this submission! Anyone who has read the original versions of these fairytales knows that they weren't written for children to entertain, but warn. Beware strangers offering sweets, so to speak. :) Deliciously wicked!
The art was amazing and went very well with the story, dramatic and lively. I especially loved the narration. I felt that the tone and flow never wavered from the appropriate "story teller's" tone, which means that even though you know what is going to happen, you never give it away until the time has come. All through the story, I still believed that at least Red Riding Hood was going to walk away from it!
Also the musical score was set at a good level for the piece and kept pace with it beautifully.
Just brilliant! Hats off to you.

Once again, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to make such a fun and challenging game. I loved how you managed to tie all of the epsiodes together and I suggest to everyone reading this that they take the time to play all of the games back-to-back because it really shows how intricately the plots are twisted together.
Like everyone else who has posted a review, I hope that this isn't the end of Jack French, but I am also eagerly awaiting your new series "Scarecrow". I will admittedly miss Jack French's sexy accent, but if you could find it in your heart to find a place for that voice in your new series, I suppose I could forgive you for ending Jack. ;)
Once again, I am deeply impressed by your work. The story is fun, the music fits well with the scenes and serves to intensify the drama, and the art is that gritty type that fuses so well with the story of a sexy European detective. Thank you for providing a few hours of mental challenge and much-needed escape.

Thanks for the kind review. I am happy that you enjoyed the series. There is a poll on my website and 75% of the users want Jack back... hhmmm
I just hope that Scarecrow will fulfill your expectations. I hope to release Chapter 2 and 3 soon.

I have been to your site and have watched all of the content you have there, and I must say that I think you are one of the most talented artists I have ever seen. Your characters are loveable, the music and sound is entertaining and greatly enhances your stories, and the stories themselves are rich and deeply entertaining.
I hope someday you lvie your ambition to be a live-action director, but in the meantime, thank you for giving us these warm and engaging stories. Truly you have a great gift and I wish you all the best.
